Our Work > Community Singalongs
Our dementia-friendly singalongs are carefully crafted to connect people with memories and emotions.
We start by selecting positive, uplifting, and familiar songs. Then we create recordings, usually featuring piano and a strong melody line. Most of our songs are recorded in lower keys than originals, making them easier for older ears to hear and older voices to sing. Then we add an engaging singalong leader, easy-to-read lyrics, and strong visual clues.
We have presented more than 500 in-person singalong shows at assisted living and memory care facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Now, thanks to a grant from the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA), we are extending our programming to include community singalong events. We launched monthly events on September 21, 2022, which was World Alzheimer’s Day.
Time: Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with singalong from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Location: Vine Arts & Events Center, 225 West Worth St., Grapevine, TX 76051
About the Event: Bring your loved one and enjoy a singalong show with Eric Kolb, our Director of Songs. Eric will be sharing familiar and uplifting music from 10-11 a.m.
